Discovering Kate

Kate just began crawling, so all things are changing around our house. She is so busy, and into everything she can get her hands on. Since she started crawling, she sits, stands and even cruises along the sofa. It's like it all happened at once!



Yesterday at the doctor's office she discovering herself in the mirror again, one of her favorite past times. I was so lucky to have caught these few moments on video... watch for the big BONK!!

Having Kate at our home is like Christmas every morning. We love waking up to her cheerful little self.

This is truly living- true happiness and contentment. Only in Christ.

So last night, as I was making supper Michael told me to hurry in the living room but not to let Kate see me. I grabbed my camera and this is what I found them doing!!!!

She is starting to copy us! We better be careful!!

(I just uploaded another video and it didn't go through and it takes FOREVER- Kate is ready to go home so I can't reload. sorry!!) I know I said there'd be two!

HI!! From Kate!

Hello family ( and few friends who still faithfully check our sad blog)- as you have discovered...since Kate arrived on the scene, my intertest and internet investment has completely vanished into mid air. Basically, if you don't love our daughter, you won't love this blog any longer, because it seems we are 2 parents lost in the wonder and the beauty of watching our long awaited child grow and develop- which is one miraculous event after another every single day, and that is what we are into.

So, until I get the interest back and the time to sit and blog, it's pictures and videos from now on, (for Auntie Shelley, Grampy and Grammy).

Kate is Grand!! She sits, she stands....

Here is our little bundle of laughter and joy.. life seriously couldn't be grander for the three of us. We thank the Lord every day for our family!

Kate is 6 months old!

Kate is 6 months and we have enjoyed tremendous changes in the past couple of weeks. Yesterday we took Kate to the beach with our new baby backpack. She did great and we lasted 3 1/2 hours. That was a feat in itself. She just snuggled up and had herself a little nap under the umbrella, which was pretty cute. See the rest of the pics HERE on our website.



Motherhood is wonderful, everything I wanted and so much more. Such a fulfilling role. Being home with Kate also adds more beauty to our marriage, as things seem to be in order more often with more homecooked meals, yeah!

Kate is getting into some long laughing spurts and we think it's hilarious! Here is a couple of videos- (they are all different) enjoy!

This can go on for about 3-4 minutes. It's great!

Southern Smiles

We have had a lovely trip to TN to visit the fam.

Kate met both her great grand mothers and we have gotten to visit with so many family and friends who came by the house to meet Kate.

It was good to see everyone- a special hello to the Anders! (Please see our pics HERE . You can also download them for yourself- as many of you are in them).

Kate was such a trooper, always social and never fussing when being picked up by a new person every 5 minutes! She crashed when we got home.

Let's Compare

It has been really fun to look back and compare this little girl's growth...and these are just a few pics that I found that might be a little fun to compare!

Kate is Talking (sort of)

Seriously, I never knew that being Kate's mom would be so fun and so rewarding! We are having a blast at home together and we count down the minutes to see daddy at 12 for lunch. Mostly our days consist of reading, singing, listening to music and talk radio, cooking and cleaning and playing with toys- typical. But my favorite time of day is when Kate wants to interact with me. She LOVES it when we talk to her and she is so very responsive at this point. Here is an example of her little social self.

Kate Laughs Out Loud!!

Kate is getting so much more fun every day! We are in shock and awe of what God is doing as He grows and develops our little preemie girl! She is a chuncker now!! She constantly laughs and smiles at us, she even talks to her toys... Maybe one day I will get the internet at home but for now these small posts will have to do! Enjoy the new video!

Kate Coos and Entertains Us

Kate is starting to interact and we are enamored... just be glad that it takes so long for a video to upload hee hee!


Here's a little clip of this morning- she loves to lay on her boppy in front of the Christmas tree (yes, we still have it up)so she can stare at the lights. It's a great baby sitting device so Michael says we'll just keep it up all year.

Dad was reading to Kate and she wasn't quite interested in the story- but was fixated on him. She loves to look at daddy as he can make her laugh the hardest.
